I was really “feeling it” when I painted this pair of contemporary landscapes. I did not set out to paint a grassland or marshland, but in the end that is what they looked like to me. My attempt was to use some common colors I had been exploring in a new abstract landscape. Also, I shy away from the color pink and deep blue which I found a way to incorporate in a background way here. I like the loose use of color, the tiny specs of splattered paint here and there, and the brave strokes that represent grass and water. I hope you do too!
