Long Way Home
My goal was to present cliff face with a grassy field providing the avenue home to the distant mesa in the far right side of the painting. I wanted this to portray a high-plains feeling at about four thousand feet elevation where it’s dry and sunny up on top. Maybe even a different climate from the lower elevation at the bottom of the cliff.
