Farms and Yellow Fields

$300.00

I wanted to push the values to the extreme this early morning on June 3, 2024, so I pulled out a heavy body acrylic tube in carbon black that was almost empty. I put down some on the butcher pan and smeared a loose pattern from the back to front with a palette knife. What might have been anything else turns out to look like a canyon so I added some yellow to make it looks like high mesas in the distance. I wanted to push the back away so I added some distant structures and bring the front closer so I intensified the color nearest the bottom. Also, I grabbed a buttery soft pastel and hit the front with some texture.
