Things are heating up!

Yes, I am predominantly a non-representative landscape painter by nature, but I like to experiment with abstraction using the same medium and tools. Although I have painted hundreds of new abstract paintings since relocating to Colorado, I don’t find many of them as interesting as these three. I called the series Burning It Down because that’s what it makes me feel when I view them. I started out to paint a building, maybe a house on an older street in any town anywhere and things rapidly evolved into what you see. I really liked the energy the Stabilo markers added and incorporating some blue shades other than in the sky.
